What the hell happened?
As Secrest's announced early of the tonight's finale, that a record breaking amount of votes was cast in last night. Over 96 Millions of votes was cast in by the American Viewers last night for the two contender, 56% of the votes belong to Cook's and only 44% went to Archuleta. I feel it is soo unfair since Archuleta is the one who stood out during last night show. He should be the ONE the American Idol. Has American got it wrong or is just Cook's luck on winning the competition?
What ever it is, eventhough Cook's had won the competition but the real deal is to survive on music industry, especially with all the heavy weight artists around such as Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood etc. Only some of the American Idol past winner had been able to stay and maintain their popularity, some just disappear right after the competition's over. Could Cook stay on top as the previous Idol winners? Only time will tell. Judging from last night performance, Archuleta have an adventage to maintaining his popularity and could overcome the AI winner it self, as the same thing happened to the previous idol winner who got beaten down interm of popularity and record sales. Who am i preferring to? do you guys remember Ruben & Clay Aiken? Ruben Studded won the AI back in 2003 but hadn't been able to beat Clay's in term of popularity and record sale. Could the same thing happen to Cook? Could history reapert it self?
