World's First Glided Gold Porche Boxter

This 22-karat gold-plated Boxster goes by the name of Gold Porsche. (Sometimes you just gotta call a cat a cat.) There will be limited production of models for sale (nine worldwide). However, if you've got the cash (and a real burning desire to ensure everyone knows you've got some), any Porsche model, regardless of engine configuration or interior, can be covered in the beaten gold. As a buyer, you can choose which of the vehicle's parts to goldenize (the body, the steering wheel, the doorknobs, the wheels and so on). For the smallest Boxster, pricing starts at around 150,000 Euros (around $190,000 U.S.). No word on how much heavier the Porsche gets with the flash, but we're sure it's worth its weight in gold.

Mentally Retarted

Hye guys, I don't have anything to blog about today but I am going to talk about one of the common mental illness called "Mentally Retarted". So, let's learn about the illness.

Definition:
Mental retardation is a developmental disability that is marked by lower-than-normal intelligence and limited daily living skills. Mental retardation is normally present at birth or develops early in life.

Description:
Mental retardation is defined by two standards. The first standard is a person's level of intelligence. Intelligence levels are usually measured by special tests called intelligence tests. Intelligence tests provide a numerical ranking of a person's mental abilities. That ranking is called an intelligence quotient or, more commonly, an IQ. In general, a person with an IQ score of less than 75 is said to be retarded.

The second standard for mental retardation is adaptive skills. The term "adaptive skills" means how well a person can deal with the tasks of everyday life. These tasks include the ability to speak and understand; home-living skills; use of community resources; leisure, self-care, and social skills; self-direction; basic academic skills (reading, writing, and arithmetic); and work skills. A person is regarded as mentally retarded if he or she is unable to dress, feed, wash, or otherwise care for him- or herself; to hold a job; or to carry out most of the other tasks needed to get through an ordinary day.

Mental-health professionals classify patients into one of four levels of retardation. Such as:

Mild Mental Retardation:

  • IQ scores from 50 to 75
  • Includes about 85 percent of the mentally retarded population
  • Individuals in this group can often live on their own with community support.

Moderate Mental Retardation:

  • IQ scores between 35 and 50
  • Includes about 10 percent of the mentally retarded population
  • Individuals in this group can often lead relatively normal lives provided they receive some level of supervision. Such individuals often live in group homes with other mentally retarded people.

Severe Mental Retardation:

  • IQ scores between 20 and 35
  • Includes about 3 percent to 4 percent of the mentally retarded population
  • Individuals in this category can often master the most basic skills of living, such as cleaning and dressing themselves. They often live in group homes.

Profound Mentaal Retardation:

  • IQ scores of less than 20
  • Includes about 1 percent to 2 percent of the mentally retarded population
  • Individuals at this level can often develop basic communication and self-care skills. They often have other mental disorders.

Causes: In about one-third of all cases, the cause of mental retardation is not known. The remaining two-thirds of cases are thought to be caused by one of four factors: heredity, prenatal problems, childhood illnesses, and environmental factors.

Symptoms:

The symptoms of mental retardation usually appear early in life. Children with the disorder tend to develop more slowly than normal. They may learn to sit up, to walk, to talk, and to perform other simple tasks later than average. Mental retardation is often accompanied by other symptoms as well. These symptoms include aggression, a tendency toward self-injury, and personality changes. As a child grows older, the best indication of mental retardation is the standard intelligence tests.

Diagnosis:

The first step in diagnosing mental retardation is a complete physical examination and medical history. Some forms of mental retardation are caused by treatable illnesses. Hyperthyroidism is an example. Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone. A child's mental disorder may be treated, then, by first treating the medical problem that caused it.

If medical problems are ruled out, the patient may then be given a series of intelligence tests. These tests are designed to determine the child's intelligence quotient. Some tests that are commonly used include the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, the Wechsler Intelligence Scales, and the Kaufmann Assessment Battery for Children. Final diagnosis may also include a series of interviews between a mental-health professional, the child, and the child's family.

Treatment:

Some forms of mental retardation can be treated. These are cases that are caused by medical problems, such as hyperthyroidism. In most cases, however, no treatment can change a person's basic intellectual capabilities.

The goal of most treatment programs is to help mentally retarded individuals develop their intellectual and functional skills to the maximum possible level. The federal government has recognized the importance of this goal. It allows for all mentally retarded children to have free testing and appropriate education and skills training from ages three to twenty-one.

Many retarded children now have the opportunity to attend special preschool programs and day schools. These programs and schools teach children basic skills, such as bathing and feeding themselves. They also provide educational programs, extracurricular activities, and social events developed especially for retarded children.

As mentally retarded individuals approach adulthood, they may receive training in independent living and job skills. The level of training they receive depends on the degree of retardation. Mildly retarded individuals can often acquire the skills needed to live on their own and hold an outside job. Moderate to profoundly retarded individuals usually require supervised community living.

Treatment may also include family therapy. The purpose of family therapy is to help family members understand the nature of mental retardation. It also helps them develop skills for dealing with the special needs of a retarded child. Parents may also receive counseling to help them deal with feelings of anger or guilt.

Prognosis:

The prognosis for individuals with mild to moderate mental retardation is usually good. These individuals can often become self-sufficient to some degree. However, they may require some educational, community, social, family, and vocational support.

The outlook is less promising for those with severe to profound retardation. These individuals tend to have a shortened life expectancy due to the medical problems that often accompany serious mental retardation.

Prevention:

Many forms of mental retardation can be prevented. Pregnant women can avoid using alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. Infections they develop should be treated promptly. Good nutrition during pregnancy is always an important factor in providing the best possible environment for the fetus.

There are a variety of ways in which young children can be protected from mental retardation. For example, they should be vaccinated against infections that can lead to mental retardation. In addition, young children should see a medical professional on a regular basis. In this way, any decline in a child's health that could lead to mental retardation may be discovered.

I'm Stress Out

I am so stress out with my Mental Health Specialty clinical placement. Although its only been two weeks I am there but my stress level is rapidly high. I don't know how am I going to handle the other 4 more weeks at MHU. Oh god please help me get through this. But that is not what I want to discuss for today. The reason why is because to maintain the confidentialty of the Mental Health Patients & Staff. But I am going elaborate on what is Stress is all about.

What is stress:
Stress is a feeling that's created when we react to particular events. It's the body's way of rising to a challenge and preparing to meet a tough situation with focus, strength, stamina, and heightened alertness. The events that provoke stress are called stressors, and they cover a whole range of situations - everything from outright physical danger to making a class presentation or taking a semester's worth of your toughest subject. The human body responds to stressors by activating the nervous system and specific hormones. The hypothalamus signals the adrenal glands to produce more of the hormones adrenaline and cortisol and release them into the bloodstream. These hormones speed up heart rate, breathing rate, blood pressure, and metabolism. Blood vessels open wider to let more blood flow to large muscle groups, putting our muscles on alert. Pupils dilate to improve vision. The liver releases some of its stored glucose to increase the body's energy. And sweat is produced to cool the body. All of these physical changes prepare a person to react quickly and effectively to handle the pressure of the moment.
This natural reaction is known as the stress response. Working properly, the body's stress response enhances a person's ability to perform well under pressure. But the stress response can also cause problems when it overreacts or fails to turn off and reset itself properly.

Good Stress & Bad Stress:
The stress response (also called the fight or flight response) is critical during emergency situations, such as when a driver has to slam on the brakes to avoid an accident. It can also be activated in a milder form at a time when the pressure's on but there's no actual danger - like stepping up to take the foul shot that could win the game, getting ready to go to a big dance, or sitting down for a final exam. A little of this stress can help keep you on your toes, ready to rise to a challenge. And the nervous system quickly returns to its normal state, standing by to respond again when needed.

But stress doesn't always happen in response to things that are immediate or that are over quickly. Ongoing or long-term events, like coping with a divorce or moving to a new neighborhood or school, can cause stress, too. Long-term stressful situations can produce a lasting, low-level stress that's hard on people. The nervous system senses continued pressure and may remain slightly activated and continue to pump out extra stress hormones over an extended period. This can wear out the body's reserves, leave a person feeling depleted or overwhelmed, weaken the body's immune system, and cause other problems.

What causes stress to overload?
Although just enough stress can be a good thing, stress overload is a different story - too much stress isn't good for anyone. For example, feeling a little stress about a test that's coming up can motivate you to study hard. But stressing out too much over the test can make it hard to concentrate on the material you need to learn.

Pressures that are too intense or last too long, or troubles that are shouldered alone, can cause people to feel stress overload. Here are some of the things that can overwhelm the body's ability to cope if they continue for a long time:

  • Being bullied or exposed to violence or injury
  • Relationship stress, family conflicts, or the heavy emotions that can accompany a broken heart or the death of a loved one
  • Ongoing problems with schoolwork related to a learning disability or other problems, such as ADHD (usually once the problem is recognized and the person is given the right learning support the stress disappears)
  • Crammed schedules, not having enough time to rest and relax, and always being on the go

Some stressful situations can be extreme and may require special attention and care. Posttraumatic stress disorder is a very strong stress reaction that can develop in people who have lived through an extremely traumatic event, such as a serious car accident, a natural disaster like an earthquake, or an assault like rape.

Some people have anxiety problems that can cause them to overreact to stress, making even small difficulties seem like crises. If a person frequently feels tense, upset, worried, or stressed, it may be a sign of anxiety. Anxiety problems usually need attention, and many people turn to professional counselors for help in overcoming them.

Signs & Symptoms of stress overload

  • Anxiety or panic attacks
  • A feeling of being constantly pressured, hassled, and hurried
  • Irritability and moodiness
  • Physical symptoms, such as stomach problems, headaches, or even chest pain
  • Allergic reactions, such as eczema or asthma
  • Problems sleeping
  • Drinking too much, smoking, overeating, or doing drugs, sadness or depression

Everyone experiences stress a little differently. Some people become angry and act out their stress or take it out on others. Some people internalize it and develop eating disorders or substance abuse problems. And some people who have a chronic illness may find that the symptoms of their illness flare up under an overload of stress.

Keep Stress Under Control

What can you do to deal with stress overload or, better yet, to avoid it in the first place? The most helpful method of dealing with stress is learning how to manage the stress that comes along with any new challenge, good or bad. Stress-management skills work best when they're used regularly, not just when the pressure's on. Knowing how to "de-stress" and doing it when things are relatively calm can help you get through challenging circumstances that may arise. Here are some things that can help keep stress under control.

  • Take a stand against overscheduling. If you're feeling stretched, consider cutting out an activity or two, opting for just the ones that are most important to you.
  • Be realistic. Don't try to be perfect - no one is. And expecting others to be perfect can add to your stress level, too (not to mention put a lot of pressure on them!). If you need help on something, like schoolwork, ask for it.
  • Get a good night's sleep. Getting enough sleep helps keep your body and mind in top shape, making you better equipped to deal with any negative stressors. Because the biological "sleep clock" shifts during adolescence, many teens prefer staying up a little later at night and sleeping a little later in the morning. But if you stay up late and still need to get up early for school, you may not get all the hours of sleep you need.
  • Learn to relax. The body's natural antidote to stress is called the relaxation response. It's your body's opposite of stress, and it creates a sense of well-being and calm. The chemical benefits of the relaxation response can be activated simply by relaxing. You can help trigger the relaxation response by learning simple breathing exercises and then using them when you're caught up in stressful situations. (Click on the button to try one.) And ensure you stay relaxed by building time into your schedule for activities that are calming and pleasurable: reading a good book or making time for a hobby, spending time with your pet, or just taking a relaxing bath.
  • Treat your body well. Experts agree that getting regular exercise helps people manage stress. (Excessive or compulsive exercise can contribute to stress, though, so as in all things, use moderation.) And eat well to help your body get the right fuel to function at its best. It's easy when you're stressed out to eat on the run or eat junk food or fast food. But under stressful conditions, the body needs its vitamins and minerals more than ever. Some people may turn to substance abuse as a way to ease tension. Although alcohol or drugs may seem to lift the stress temporarily, relying on them to cope with stress actually promotes more stress because it wears down the body's ability to bounce back.
  • Watch what you're thinking. Your outlook, attitude, and thoughts influence the way you see things. Is your cup half full or half empty? A healthy dose of optimism can help you make the best of stressful circumstances. Even if you're out of practice, or tend to be a bit of a pessimist, everyone can learn to think more optimistically and reap the benefits.
  • Solve the little problems. Learning to solve everyday problems can give you a sense of control. But avoiding them can leave you feeling like you have little control and that just adds to stress. Develop skills to calmly look at a problem, figure out options, and take some action toward a solution. Feeling capable of solving little problems builds the inner confidence to move on to life's bigger ones - and it and can serve you well in times of stress.

Bulid Your Resilience

Ever notice that certain people seem to adapt quickly to stressful circumstances and take things in stride? They're cool under pressure and able to handle problems as they come up. Researchers have identified the qualities that make some people seem naturally resilient even when faced with high levels of stress. If you want to build your resilience, work on developing these attitudes and behaviors:

  • Think of change as a challenging and normal part of life.
  • See setbacks and problems as temporary and solvable.
  • Believe that you will succeed if you keep working toward your goals.
  • Take action to solve problems that crop up.
  • Build strong relationships and keep commitments to family and friends.
  • Have a support system and ask for help.
  • Participate regularly in activities for relaxation and fun.

Learn to think of challenges as opportunities and stressors as temporary problems, not disasters. Practice solving problems and asking others for help and guidance rather than complaining and letting stress build. Make goals and keep track of your progress. Make time for relaxation. Be optimistic. Believe in yourself. Be sure to breathe. And let a little stress motivate you into positive action to reach your goals.

Unstoppable

Through out these couple of years, I've experienced tons of disappointment but I am hoping. Hoping that I am able to handle it all together. Tons of discouraging words come together, telling me that I can't do something that could make me somebody or even able to go for Bachelor or a Master holder. I must admit, sometimes it does get into me, where I do think their are right but whenever I come to a sense, I think it is all a challenge for me to over take. The feeling of showing that I can succeed to them is what I want to do from now on. I am going to show those who look down on me what am I capable of. Cause It takes more than some discouraging words to stop me cause I am UNSTOPPABLE.

You can talk all you want but my skin is really thick. I’m the leader of the crowd and my game is really slick, I’m unstoppable. Save your pity for tomorrow, when I smash it like a ball in the club on the news, I'll be rockin' like a rockstar cause I'm unstoppable.

Weezy F baby, Hello world I got a black president and a yellow girl. In my red shoes and my swags so sick I need med school. I never make a bad move but you can make your bad move. You like my attitude, ain't nobody else at my magnitude. See ain't nothing stopping me, I feel like ain't nothing after me. Huh.

Now shaking my dreams? Like I got the jungle fever rushing through my veins? I'm gettin' crazy and the club is banging through my brain? When I say jump, you jump, jump is knockin, knockin I wanna see you jump like this beat is rockin. You can't ride my bracelet, kinda fancy but it's how i play. You wanna come along and see and holler at me? Maybe I lost it, maybe not cause I got game, like a burning flame, yeah that's me.

Save your pity for tomorrow. When I smash it like a ball in the club. On the news, I'll be rockin' like a rockstar cause I'm unstoppable bitch.

Cancer & Armpit

Dear All,

Before or after you read this post which you may or may not have read in the past, please login to http://www.snopes.com/ and type "anti-perspirants and breast cancer" on the search line. You will have more information to read on the subject and decide whether you would like to learn more about it.

Some time ago, I attended a Breast Cancer Awareness seminar and I asked why the most common area for Breast Cancer was near the armpit. My question could not be answered at that time. I find it interesting that my question has been answered. I would like to challenge you all to rethink your every day use of a product that could ultimately lead to a terminal illness. As of today, I will change my use. A friend forwarded this to me. I showed it to another friend going through chemotherapy & she said she learned this fact in a support group recently.

The leading cause of breast cancer is the use of anti-perspirant. What ??? Yes, *ANTI-PERSPIRANT* . Most of the products out there are an anti-perspirant /deodorant combination, so go home and check Deodorant is fine, anti-perspirant is not! Here's why :- The human body has a few areas that it uses to purge toxins; -- behind the knees, behind the ears, groin area, and armpits. The toxins are purged in the form of perspiration. Anti-perspirant, as the name clearly indicates, prevents you from perspiring, thereby inhibiting the body from purging toxins from below the armpits. These toxins do not just magically disappear. Instead, the body deposits them in the lymph nodes below the arms since it cannot sweat them out.

Nearly all breast cancer tumors occur in the upper outside quadrant of the breast area. This is precisely where the lymph nodes are located. Additionally, men are less likely (but not completely exempt) to develop breast cancer prompted by anti- perspirant usage because most of the anti-perspirant product is caught in their hair and is not directly appliedto the skin. Women who apply anti-perspirant right after shaving increase the risk further because shaving causes almost imperceptible nicks in the skin which give the chemicals entrance into the body from the armpit area.

PLEASE pass this along to anyone you care about. Breast cancer is becoming frighteningly common. This awareness may save lives.

The History of Valentine's Day

Have you ever wondered how Valentine's Day came to be?

The Story behind St. Valentines Day is a fascinating one. Although February 14th is celebrated as a lovers' holiday today, with the giving of candy, flowers, Valentine's Day card and other gifts between couples in love, it originated as a tribute to St. Valentine, a Catholic bishop. As early as the fourth century B.C., the Romans engaged in an annual young man's rite of passage to the God Lupercus. It's earliest orgin was the Roman festival Lupercalia, observed on Feb. 15. Lupercalia celebrated the coming of Spring on the Roman calendar. Lupercalia became a celebration intended to ensure the fertility of flocks, fields and people.

The names of the teenage women were placed in a box and drawn at random by adolescent men; thus, a man was assigned a woman companion (a sexual partner) for the duration of the year, after which another lottery was staged. After eight hundred years of this cruel practice, the early church fathers sought to end this practice.

In an effort to do away with the pagan festival, Pope Gelasius ordered a slight change in the lottery. Instead of the names of young women, the box would contain the names of saints. Both men and women were allowed to draw from the box, and the game was to emulate the ways of the saint they drew during the rest of the year. Needless to say, many of the young Roman men were not too pleased with the rule changes.

Instead of the pagan god Lupercus, the Church looked for a suitable patron saint of love to take his place. They found an appropriate choice in Valentine, who, in 270 AD had been beheaded by Emperor Claudius. According to church tradition, St. Valentine was a priest near Rome. At that time the Roman Emperor, Claudius II, had issued an edict forbidding marriage. Claudius had determined that married men made poor soldiers because they were emotionally attached to their families. So he banned marriage from his empire.

Valentine, a bishop , seeing the trauma of young lovers, met with them in a secret place, and joined them in the sacrament of matrimony. When Claudius found out about this "friend of lovers," Valentine was thrown in jail and condemned to death. While Valentine was in prison awaiting his fate, he befriended his jailer, Asterius, who had a blind daughter. Asterius' daughter befriended the kind priest by bringing food and messages to him. Valentine fell in love with the jailer's daughter. Asterius requested that he heal his daughter. Through his faith he miraculously restored the sight of Asterius' daughter and converted the two of them to Christianity.

After some time in prison the priest was ordered to appear before the Emperor. The emperor, impressed with the young priest's dignity and conviction, first tried to convert him to paganism to save him from certain execution. But Valentine reversed the strategy, trying instead to convert Claudius. He failed. Just before his execution, he asked for pen and paper from his jailor, and signed a farewell message to the jailer's daughter and signed it, "From Your Valentine." He was stoned and beheaded on February 24, 270 AD.

Valentine become a Patron Saint, and spiritual overseer of the annual festival. Although the lottery for women had been banned by the church, the mid-February holiday in commemoration of St. Valentine, involved young Romans offering women they admired and wished to court, handwritten greetings of affection on February 14th. The greetings eventually acquired the St. Valentine's name. One of the earliest cards was sent in 1415 by Charles, Duke of Orleans to his wife. He was imprisoned in the Tower of London at the time. The card is now preserved in the British Museum.

So, that's the story of Valentine's day.

Chris VS Rihanna

A text message sent to Chris Brown from another woman may have ignited the explosive argument between the "Run It" singer and girlfriend Rihanna, according to TMZ.

A law-enforcement source who spoke with TMZ said the message asked Brown about "hooking up later." There were no further details, however, regarding the text or the identity of the person who sent the message. TMZ is also citing an alleged reference in the police report to an argument over a rapper, but that has yet to be confirmed. Neither party has spoken publicly since reports surfaced about an alleged domestic-violence incident on Saturday. Brown turned himself in to police and was later released after posting $50,000 bail. The singer was charged with making criminal threats, and police are still investigating the matter before turning it over to the district attorney's office.

Rihanna's injuries aren't fully known yet. The Def Jam artist was taken to a hospital, and reports have varied regarding the extent of what happened to her — from large contusions on her face to a bloody nose. Her grandmother told a newspaper in the singer's native Barbados that Rihanna is "fine". According to E!, though, Rihanna reportedly told police Brown choked her and left her unconscious following their altercation, where she allegedly threw the keys of Brown's rented car out the window, sending him into "a rage." Police then drove Rihanna to the hospital immediately rather than waiting for an ambulance after noticing her eye was black and swollen. E! is also reporting that Rihanna told police that Brown threatened to kill her.

Both artists backed out of their scheduled Grammy appearance on Sunday night and have canceled a number of upcoming appearances, including a concert overseas for Rihanna and a number of events Brown was set to appear at during NBA All-Star Weekend.Brown's Doublemint gum endorsement deal has been suspended, and a number of his songs and past TV appearances have also been removed from airing on radio and TV. This report is from MTV News.

Intense?

Hye guys, what's up? Like the usual. I'm gonna blog about my day. Um. well, just an ordinary day for me but a bit intense due to all the course work and catching up.What am I catching up on? hem, well, currently I am still in the catching up process on a few topics which I missed a few weeks ago due to a Chicken Pox I had. But let's not focus on that one alright.

Today, the class began with a session with Sir Hj Zuffry, focusing all about the Head Injury & its management but unfortunately he couldn't teach us for today cause he had to go UBD for a meeting regarding our merge with Institute of Medicine at UBD. So, he assigned us to do a research on our own on Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) which includes Intra Cranial Pressure (ICP), Head & Spinal Injury and Altered Consciousness together with it's investigation, treatment & therapy focusing on surgical intervention especially Crinotomy and the management for each problem. Huh, quite a lot ha?, adui, I'll guess my stress level is going to be over the moon this week and will be much more higher once I start my clinical placement next week. NO!!!!!!!!!! I'm not yet ready.

Since the class was cancel, me and my Paediatric group decided that we should do our group presentation since we'll be presenting it to Mrs Hjh Rajiah this Saturday but sadly the Internet connection is down at school. So, I decided to take them back to my place to do the research on the topic given to us. Oh yeah, the topic given to us by Mrs Hjh Rajiah was Febrile Convulsion on Children. I drove my friends back to my place since my house is the nearest one to the college among all of us. Once we're at my place, we started doing the task and went back to school around 10.20am. (Limited time babeh)

Second lecture for today was Mental Health, a session with Mrs Irma. Focusing on Anxiety. The lecture was quite short than her usual lecture but I'm thankful for that cause I am just too intense by all of this week course work. I seriously think most of my coursemates are also intense and stress out with this week course work. Why? Well, this week probably one of our busiest week ever because there's a lot of course work given to us and we had so little time to do it. Plus, our clinical placement is closer than we expected. And with it on its way, our time to do all the course work and revision session needed to prepare our self for our final examination is s0 limited.

But I think Mrs Irma knows that we are under alot of pressure and stress out or she could feel the intense inside our classroom. Which is why she decided to do a Muscle relaxation therapy on us which really works by the way. At the end of the session, everybody was feeling fresh and more relax than it was when we all came in to school this morning. WoW, Mrs Irma is really good in this area. Thumbs up for her. Yay! Hem, the lecture ended right on time on our lunch time and apparently we don't have activity plan for our E.C.A session therefore all of us decided to go home and rest. What did I do at home after school? Nap time baby. Ehehe, I woke up around 5pm and went to Giant with my mother to do some grocery shopping.

Flattered

Hye guys, today nothing much going on at school. Just an ordinary day. I only had one lecture with Sir Hj Zuffry. Today he did a revision on Drug Calculation (Pharmacology) It's been a while we all studied it and most of us thought we had master this subject already after a few years in the field but unfortuntely it was like we're in the first year, clueless about the subject eventhough it was taught to us a few years ago. But luckly Sir Zuffry was in a good mood this morning, he just asked us to keep on practising to do the calculation.

But that is not what I want to talk about today, what I want to talk about is about a comment given to me by one of my former lecturer who's currently studying in UK, persuing a Bachelor in Health & Science/Nursing as well as a Master in Health & Science/Nursing after he complete his Bachelor course. Oh yeah, his name is Sir Morshidi B. Hj Ali.

I left him a message on his facebook wall a few days ago and this is what I said.

Me : "Hye sir, hope to see you around soon, hoping to be able to get there just like you, getting a bachelor in health & science/nursing. how things are going on for you di UK? college sunyi sir without u around.. ehhee.."

Sir Morshidi: "Are you serious to come here? I knew you are one of the high flier from your intake and I am quite sure you will be able to compete and go further ahead. In UK nowdays, as you now they experience very bad snow since 18 years, so we all di sini pun struggle rasanya kesejukan, but aat least merasa and meliat salji jua. How's di college? Honestly rindu jua sal lama inda mengajar kamu dah and rindu meliat telatah, suara and jokes and everythings about college. Dont worry, nada ckgu di sana pun, yang lain pun buleh buat bising jua tu...hehhehe..Ok take care and wish you best of luck."

Me: "hye sir, thanks sir for the compliment, i will definitely work much more harder to achieve my goals. A million thanks goes out to you for all the knowledge you provided to me and my friends. I can't reward you with anything but only god can. Teaching all the knowledge we need to know eventho' we can be a pain in the ass sometime. But then again, u stood by us and keep going on. Hope to see you back soon sir @ our new school which is going to be Institute of Medicine. I hope i can still be around to get my Bachelor in Health & Science/Nursing. Perhaps a Master in our field, what do you think sir?"

Sir Morshidi: "Everything your set in your life is like something that can drive you even further. I knew you have deep determination for success and I knew where were you now is not suppose you to be. I think you deserved more with your capabilities. You have big ambition and really a hard working student. So keep it up. What can I do is just to pray to God for your success. I was only there to do my responsibility to share and give you what I knew, in fact I am still learning too and learning will never be end and learning is a life long learning process. A success is only a beginning to go further and further ahead till we are unable to move further ahead. Best of luck for you and do keep in touch. Bytheway for your info, I will be only completed my course Insya Allah on August next year and hopefully you still be around then. K"

To Be honest, I am quite suprise by what he said about me, and I really hope I exceed to his expectation as well as my family expectation towards me. Amin.

Unexpected

Hye, how are you guys today? I hope everything is going well for you guys. As for me? Well, I had great day today despite a little bit disappointed but I'm over it now. Hem, I only had 2 lecture session for today which are Mental Health and Home Base. First it was Mental Health, a session covered by Mrs Irma, teaching us all about Psychosis & Schizophrenia.

Although these two mental disorder are tough to tackle but I managed to understand what is it all about, and the management needed in handling this kinda of disorder. But despite it all, I still have a few questions about it which is why I am going to see Mrs Irma as soon as possible. Breaktime, I hang out with Rara and Kakak Zuvita, had a meal together with them and discuss about the Home base test which we took last Saturday. I must admit here, I am not sure either I am going to pass the test or not, considering I wasn't able to attend any of the lecture due to the chicken pox I had at that time but deep within' my heart, I am hoping for to pass the test. (Who wouldn't be right?)

Breaktime's over, and it's time for Home base session with Mrs Hjh Maimunah. This morning she didn't taught us except giving us a review on how we did do with the test she gave us. She mentioned to us that she is disappointed with our performance. Because she was expecting most of us would pass the test but what happened was the other way around. She then announced to the entire class that there is only one student pass the test. This is what she said "I'm so upset with you all and really disappointed with your performance but there is only one student who managed to pass, and this person didn't even attend any of my lecture because he was not well at that time but he made it" Once she said that, I asked my self who could this guy be but suddenly I realized that she was talking about me.

I seriously didn't know that she meant me, it was all like a dream for me but once I think harder, it is true that I didn't attend any of her previous lecture since I was on sick leave due to the Chicken pox. Some of my closes friend was looking at me and saying congratulation in a silent mode, like a whisper. Again Thanks guys, I appreciate it. But again, I guess having that chicken pox does have an advantage. Hehehe :)

Lunch time, went home for short nap and went back to school around 1.45pm. I went straight to the library to look for some information on How effective is teppic spanging on children who had a fever. This time I am with my group but sadly to say, I had to wait 45 minutes for them to arrived at school but while I was at the library, I bumped into Alif, we had a talk but not a long talk since he was a bit busy preparing him self for his resit exam this Thursday. He wasn't feeling very well today and I hope he'll get better soon so that he could the exam properly and calmly. Finally the remaining members from my group arrived and we began our research. Oh yeah, while I was a looking for some books in the library, I found this Grey's Anatomy book. Hahaha, weird ha?

Dark Under Eye Bag Lady Syndrome

Tired of the Dark Under Eye Bag Lady Syndrome?

Reduce under eye puffiness and banish that dark under eye bag lady syndrome! It is really quite simple and easy to do.

You’re tired and the puffiness under your eyes continues to swell. The bags become larger and more pronounced with each passing day until you feel like you look like the Queen of Bag Ladies. It’s not necessary to carry around all that unsightly baggage you know. How can you reduce under eye puffiness? In a word, ice. Why do those big, puffy bags under your eyes just keep getting worse? There are a variety of reasons for dark under eye bags but the major reasons include fluid retention, inadequate sleep, allergies, and, of course, heredity. The puffiness is a result of the under eye area becoming a natural collecting spot for fluids that haven’t yet been absorbed into the body. The good news is that under eye puffiness isn’t typically a difficult issue to resolve and is usually just a temporary – although admittedly a rather unattractive problem. There are several skin rejuvenation strategies which will help banish the bag lady look. As a quick fix to help reduce under eye puffiness, wrap an ice cube in a soft cloth and apply to the under eye area for five minutes to reduce the swelling. You should see an immediate improvement.

Better yet, make yourself a nice cup of tea using two good quality green tea bags. Squeeze out the moisture from the tea bags when you are done, place them in the freezer and use these when you need to reduce under eye puffiness. Whether you use one of those chilled gel masks, cucumber slices, or just a cool damp cloth, the key is to reduce the swelling. The general rule of thumb is to keep the ice five minutes on and five minutes off. Afterwards you can also gently tap the surface of the under eye area to stimulate the fluid to disperse. If you have also developed dark circles try using a "super" Vitamin K treatment twice a day for a few weeks and watch those dark under eye circles begin to disappear.

Time to say good bye to the eye bag lady syndrome.

The True Meaning of Love

If you love someone because you think that he or she is really gorges,
Then I'm sorry to say that it's not love, it's Infatuation.

If you love someone because you think that you shouldn't leave him/her because other thinks that you shouldn't then it's not love, it's Compromise.
If you love someone just because you have been kiss by him/her then it's not love, it's just Inferiority Complex.

If you love someone because you cannot leave him/her thinking not to hurt his/her feeling, then it's not love, it's Charity.
If you love someone because you share everything with that person,
then it's not love, it's Friendship.
But if you feel the pain of the other person more than he/she is stable and you cry for them, then that is Love.
If you get attracted to other people but you stay with him/her without any regrets,
then it's Love.
If you let he/she go, knowing that he/she has to go but doesn't want to,
then it's Love.
Some where out there, Someone who dream of your smile, and find in your presence that's life Is worth while especially when you're lonely. But remember one thing, is that someone, somewhere is thinking of you.

Temporary Job application?

Hye all, today nothing much going on. Just an ordinary day as a college student. But today is probably one of the chaotic day I ever encountered. Although I only had one lecture for today which was Occupational Health, focusing on the mysteries of Occupational illness but it is still pretty a hectic day. I treat my girls friend for a breakfast somewhere around Gadong. Lunch time, the love of my life meet me up somewhere in Yayasan for lunch. We both split around 1.30pm for anther school session. This afternoon, right after I signed my attendance, again I went out with the girls, but this time we're submitting our temporary job application at Jerudong Park Medical Centre Sdn.Bhd I won't tell what am I applying for or the reason why we're applying the temporary job due to some privacy issues. But all that matters is that we hope we are going to be accept to work as one of the heatlcare staff at JPMC.

While we're there, right after submitting our applications later and details, we decided to take a detour around the area. Since JMPC is located nearby His Royal Majesty horse base, I think it is a good time to take a few pictures with the horses. Here are some of the pictures. One more thing, just to inform you guys, this Saturday and Monday, I'm going to have a Home Base test therefore I might not be able to update this blog. But that is just a "Might Be" you never know right?

Tiring day

Hye all, Hem, so today is the second day of February. There's nothing much going on at school. I went to school a bit late than usual. Over slept. Hehe. I slept like a baby last night and I really wish that I don't have to go to school today but I missed tons of lectures already. So, I really need to catch up.

Morning lecture was with Mrs Irma but she couldn't come in but she did leave us a slide show and added her voice in it. Just to make it like she's there teaching us. I think, she made a smart choice of doing that, because even though she couldn't be there in person to do the lecture but adding her voice into the slide was a good move, So that we won't miss more topics in Mental Health. Seriously I never thought Mental Health is going to be this tough. (Haiyah!!!!)

There's no second lecture for today. Supposedly it was a class with Mrs Hjh Maimunah but since she had a workshop together with some of the other lecturers, the lecture was cancelled. Since we don't have any class around 10am up till 12noon, me and a couple of my friends decided to go to Sumbangsih Food Centre for breakfast. Although I was not that hungry at that time but I sure ate a lot. Huh, How much did I ate? Let's just say I have to skip lunch in order to stay awake. You know whenever your that full, you probably can't concentrate in your lectures cause you're eyes are making you to shut them up. Eheheheh :P

Alright, Lunch time I went home for a short nap. Woke up around 1.30pm and went back to school. It was my third lecture conducted by Sir Hj Zuffery. Our topic today is about Prostate Cancer and it's treatment, both Medical & Surgical intervention. Quite an interesting topic to be learned. The class ended around 3.30pm, and I went straight home after that. Sometime around 4pm, the love of my life called, asking to drop by. Right now, my love is here, watching me updating this blog. And we're going for a dinner together tonight. Don't know where yet. Hope somewhere fancy tho' Hehehe :P

So, that's all for today.

Egg production In Malaysia

Sebab tu lah bila beli telur kita kena basuh..tapi kalau dah jadi kes macam ni kena samak jawabnya. Dulu aku sensitif pasal kes1. Telur tak basuh bergelumang taik ayam, ada org yg jual roti canai, or roti telur, amik dari papan terus pecahkan kat roti.

  1. Tangan dah terkena tahi ayam kering lepas tu pap..pap henyak kat roti canai yang kita nak makan..ehhh geli aku!.
  2. Telur dibilas-rendam pakai air satu besen sahaja...(cara salah menyucikan najis menurut feqh) Kini tambah lagi satu.

Moral of the story.

Itu pun kalau gudang depa tak guarded by canines.
AKU RASA DAH SAMPAI TAHAP SERUAN WAJIB NI, ORANG ISLAM MESTI MENGAMBIL TANGUNGJAWAB MENGELUARKAN DAN MEMPROSES MAKANAN UNTUK UMAT ISLAM, BUKAN MENGHARAPKAN ORANG LAIN PRODUCE DAN TEMPEK COP HALAL JAKIM. KITA NI SENSITIF SANGAT PASAL 'LOGO' HALAL. KALAU YANG BUAT MAKANAN BUKAN ORANG ISLAM, APALAH HARAPANNYA.

Please note that this an e-mail article sent to me by a friend. No hard feeling but this is the truth. I ask you guys to always be careful whenever your buying stuff from the store. Especially the things that you're going to cook.
