Battlefield

Hello everybody, having a nice weekend?

The author of this blogspot doesn't feel like having a nice weekend due to several facts. However, the author won't elaborate in details on how he feels but the author will say a few things that would make whoever may concern to think and realized something.

He doesn't want to start a war with anyone but this is what he feel about the issue, having to put his feeling a side within his heart is unbearable and he could not tolerate with it no more. Hence, whatever you may read down below is just words coming from the author's broken heart.

Don’t try to explain your mind cause I know what’s happening here. One minute, it’s love and suddenly, it’s like a battlefield. One words turns into a...... but why is it the smallest things that tear us down?

My world’s nothing when you’re gone and I’m out here without a shield, I can’t go back now cause going back won't make that much different. Both hands tied behind my back for nothing, these times when we climb so fast to fall again, Why we gotta fall for it now?

I NEVER meant to start a war, you know, I never wanna hurt you. I don’t even know what we’re fighting for and why does love always feel like a battlefield?

We can’t swallow our pride because neither of us wanna raised to the occasion but If we can’t surrender, then we’re both gonna protect on what we still have. We could pretend that we are friends for today and, in the next day we would be alright ‘cause baby, we don’t have to fight and I certainly don’t want this love to feel like a battlefield.

P/S: Happy birthday to ABDB (The Brunei Royal Army)

Think people on how close we are to the end of the world.

Heartless

Hey guys, Sorry for the on and off personal life matter bloging. I'm having trouble on finding ideas on what to blog about actually. Plus, the fact that there's nothing much going on in my life right now other than just focusing on my upcoming exam; and with that focus, I managed to finished both of my assignments for this semester. Tomorrow, I'm gonna ask Mrs Hjh Maimunah to check the assignment whether it is what she's looking for in the topic I have chosen. I seriously am hoping it is what she's looking for because I don't wanna to redo the whole thing.  You know how tiring, stressful and devestitating it is having to redo your assignment. (Cross Fingers)  Ehehe, hopefully I won't have to. :)

Anyway, ever since I watched Kris Allen - the current American Idol winner sang this song called Heartless. I'm starting to get addicted to it. Oh God, please help me!!!! Ehehe, The song was originally recorded by Kanya West. However, the version on Kanya's album wasn't as good as the version from Kris Allen. (Sorry to all Kanya's fans but that's a fact, face it bitch) Here, down blow I post an audio video I found in YouTube. An audio video of a studio version of Heartless sung by Kris Allen. Hope you guys like it. :)

So what do you think? Nice song right?

NEW IM Building in UBD

Today during lunch hour, me and a couple of CIN members went to UBD to check out the new IM - Institute of Medicine building. The Institute where we all are going to study at. The building is now fully complete and we're expecting to move in by the end of May. The new IM building is complete with its own Administration centre, Research centre, Bio Chemistry labs, Anatomy & Physiology lab, PBL rooms, Communication centre, Clinical simulation centre, Medical and Surgical library and a Master lecture theater hall.

Hunger

Hye guys, today I went out with some friends of mine for lunch at Manjaro Restaurant in Kiulap. The restaurant was suggested by Dr Amy Tien - a fellow surgeon I  knew when I was doing my clinical placement in ward 6 a year ago.

For me, the menu is quite expensive but it does match the quality of the food, I tell you. But unfortunately as a student, I can't afford to go there as often as I want to. However, I am going to eat there at least once a month. Eheheh :P So, anyway, here are some of pictures of the meals I had earlier.

2009 American Idol winner

Kris Allen beamed with disbelief, shook his head as if to reject that this was really happening and struggled to find words. The fact that he'd just beaten rollicking vocal powerhouse Adam Lambert for the "American Idol" title wasn't going to sink in quickly for the unassuming underdog from Arkansas. The only downside to this stunning victory: He'd have to sing "No Boundaries" one more time.

"Adam deserves this. I'm sorry, I don't even know what to feel right now. This is crazy," said the 23-year-old from Conway, Ark. Allen's smooth vocals and boy-next-door image gave him the edge after nearly 100 million viewer votes were cast, turning the theatrical Lambert into the most unlikely of also-rans. When the season started, Allen seemed unsure he had a right to take center stage, let alone stand there and snatch victory from such a formidable rival.

During his "Idol" audition last summer, Allen, hands in his pockets and a newsboy cap pulled down around his eyes, was asked by the judges if he was the best singer around. "You know, there's probably people who are better than me," was Allen's response, offered in the quiet, low-key spirit he retained despite his growing profile.

Conversely, Lambert's commanding vocal range and stage presence - and the judges' lavish adoration -- at times turned "Idol" into "The Adam Lambert Show," with the other contestants mere guests. But it turned out that "Idol" viewers could embrace a gifted performer like Lambert, one who sported black nail polish and bold self-assurance, only to a point.

Cowell tipped his hat to both contestants Wednesday night, who shared a moment of musical camaraderie when they joined with Queen on the rock anthem "We Are the Champions."

"To both of you, and I don't normally mean this, I thought you were both brilliant ... the future's all yours," the judge said.

"Adam did win. So did Kris. Nobody lost tonight. These are two champions," said Kiss guitarist Paul Stanley from backstage. The comments from Cowell and Stanley aren't necessarily empty platitudes. Past contestants can testify that losing the title doesn't mean you're a loser, nor does winning mean you're a shoo-in for superstardom.

Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson, who finished fourth and seventh in their respective seasons, have gone on to huge success. As for "Idol" winners, they range from blockbuster artists like Carrie Underwood to the mostly under-the-radar Taylor Hicks.

Backstage, Lambert was asked about how his second-place finish would be interpreted online.

"The blogs have a lot of opinions, don't they?" he said, smiling and looking relaxed. His own interpretation?

"I think Kris won because he's a great artist and I was happy to be runner-up to that," he said.

Allen had yet to come to grips with his new status several hours after the Fox show ended.

"I felt shocked every week that I made it. To be the `American Idol,' I'm really shocked," he said backstage. He paid tribute to his competitor.

"He deserves it just as much as I do," Allen said, calling Lambert an "amazing" performer.

On the personal front, he said he was looking forward to getting back to married life with his wife, Katy, whom he called "the coolest chick in the world."

Wednesday's outcome echoed last year's contest, which also looked at the outset like it was going the other way. Cowell all but crowned David Archuleta after the performance finale, calling his a "knockout performance" -- but the victory went to David Cook.

Lambert was such a powerful, unique performer that his fans were allowed a sense of entitlement on his behalf. But his triumph wasn't inevitable. When Allen and Lambert were declared the finalists last week, just 1 million viewer votes separated the pair out of 88 million cast.

Allen bloomed during the season, gaining more assurance onstage and winning viewers over with his heartfelt vocals, modest demeanor and well-scrubbed good looks. There was also the Danny Gokey factor. Gokey made it to the top three before he fell out of the contest, leaving his supporters up for grabs.

"After the third one leaves, you wonder where do the votes go from that third contestant," Paula Abdul said backstage after Tuesday's singing showdown. Allen seemed the likely candidate for those viewers' affections, for on- and offstage reasons. Allen and Gokey, 29, of Milwaukee, were downright conservative when compared to Lambert's elaborate staging and wardrobe choices. Allen is a married college student -- his wife was often on hand to root for him -- and has worked as a church worship leader. Gokey, a recent widower, is a church music director.

Lambert, 27, of Los Angeles, brought measured rock flashiness -- daring, not freaky -- with songs including "Whole Lotta Love," the first-ever Led Zeppelin tune on "Idol." He's largely kept his personal life under wraps, saying "I know who I am" when asked about it. Earlier this week, Allen said he hoped the outcome wouldn't be decided by "having the Christian vote."

"I hope it has to do with your talent and the performance that you give and the package that you have. It's not about religion and all that kind of stuff," he said. Added Lambert: "It's about music. That's really important to keep in mind."  The finale Wednesday included the usual bag of tricks for extending the show to two hours and delaying the result until the final minutes. There were group numbers, the Golden Idol Award -- semifinalist funnyman Nick "Norman Gentle" Mitchell among the contenders -- and celebrity-contestant combos.

Allen was joined by Keith Urban on "Kiss a Girl," while Lambert stomped the stage in elevator boots and oversized ribbed shoulder pads for a pyrotechnic performance with Kiss.

The female finalists, including Allison Iraheta, opened up for Fergie, who sang "Big Girls Don't Cry" and then was joined by her group, the Black Eyed Peas. Iraheta later dueted with Cyndi Lauper on "Time After Time" and Danny Gokey joined Lionel Richie for two tunes. Rod Stewart sang "Maggie May" after the male finalists opened for him with "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy." An offbeat guest was Steve Martin, the actor-comedian who also specializes in the banjo. He played his song "Pretty Flowers" with finalists Megan Joy and Michael Sarver on vocals.

Asked by Seacrest to guess who might win "American Idol," Martin replied: "I know it's a long shot, but I'm hoping I do."

Allen rose to the occasion during Tuesday's performance show, especially with his soulful version of "Ain't No Sunshine." But he was tripped up by "No Boundaries," a power ballad song co-written by judge Kara DioGuardi and ill-suited to his voice. (One audience wag said the tune's exhortation -- "You can go higher, you can go deeper ... Every step you climb another mountain" -- made it ideal for a Stairmaster exercise machine ad.)

Lambert did a better job with "No Boundaries" and excelled on his reprise of "Mad World" and on "A Change is Gonna Come." "That was the best I've ever heard you sing -- ever!" exclaimed Abdul.

But it wasn't good enough for "American Idol" voters.

Lunch With Friends

Huh, I had a blast with my beloved friends during lunch time. It's been a while I haven't seen my friends due to the whole attachment thingy and I miss them so much. However, the missing-ness was cured when I finally able to hang out with the people I love.

During Lunch time, we went to CA Muhammad Restaurant in Yayasan cause we were all craving for its famous Mee Mamak. After lunch, we headed for the arcade, Rara wanted to distress her self by playing some games and sing at the Kbox. We sang a song called "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by the legendary rock band Aerosmith. Here are some of the pictures I managed to snap.

Over spent?

Hye, it's been a rather boring day for me but somehow I managed to switch it the other way around. Since the whole book festival a few months ago, I ended up buying a lot of books which by the way are so important in terms of improving my english and gaining more knowledge from different fields. As a Health & Science student, more knowledge is needed therefore more reading and research are required.

As a result, I ended up having too many books which my current book shelf can't contain no longer, leaving my bedroom filled with books: making me feel like a nerd or should I say a book worm. Oh god,  did I turn my self into one of them? Oh Shit, I better get back in track. So this morning, I asked my mother to accompany me to surf for a cheap book shelf. We went out sometime around 9 am this morning. As a Tiong Jaya Furniture Store loyal customer, we headed there first to look for the book shelf. Luckily the book shelf is available however something else caught the attention of me and my mother.

Guess what? we ended up buying a $800 dollar coffee table which was totally silly. Seriously, why can't we stick on what we came looking for. Haiya, I guess we are a typical Bruneian. But I think it's okay cause I'll definitely going to get the book shelf when my next school allowance is release. (Keeps fingers crossed)

Hem, so Danny got the boot from AI, therefore it kinda  make me lose my interest from watch the AI finale next week. However as a singing competition viewer I still have another TV programme to count on. It's the final concert of Akademi Fantasia. In this season my personal favorite to win would be Hafiz. Don't ask me more cause if you watched the show, you definitely would agree with me on why did I choose him to win.

Yesterday which was Thursday and was my last day in Sengkurong Clinic. My last day there was like any ordinary day for me but was a bit busier than before. As my senior said "Panas kau ani eh, you're last day here and it's the first time patient ramai datang" wow, am I really that hot? don't have anything to say to it. I'd leave Sengkurong clinic with a smile on my face, cherishing everything that was being taught to me by the S.M.O, M.O's and Nurses.

Since I ended up my session working in the community clinic, I'll be returning back to RIPAS hospital, continuing my clinical placement with the Infection Control team. Huh, I bet this is going to be one more tiring session for me. Huh, very tiring, I even have trouble sparing time to do my specialty assignment. Oh god, please help me to finish it on time. I'm so stressed out.

Danny? NO!!!!!!!

Today in the result show of American Idol, something sad happened when Ryan announced it to the world that Danny Gokey -  a very consistent performer through out this entire season had been eliminated from the show. I don't know how much was the total of votes cast for him but it was sure one of THE toughest battle in AI history for this year. However, it is not the end of the line for him as he gets to continue singing and expanding his singing carrier after this.

All the best to Danny Gokey and I as a big fan of him would like to have his first debut album once it is release to the public. All hail Danny!!!

Danny Gokey is now the 2nd Runner Up for American Idol Season 8
But who will be the winner of this season?
My vote goes to Adam Lambert.

School Trip To Mega Mas

Today is our school trip to Mega Mas Training Centre. For those who don't know what is Mega Mas and where is it. Well, Mega Mas is located in K.B near Mumung. A one hour drive way trip from Bandar Seri Begawan. Mega Mas is a training centre for all shell offshore workers learned their survival skills before being sent to offshore. I don't want to elaborate more on this one because I'm not so familiar with the BSP - Brunei Shell Petroleum standard and procedure.

Anyway, this morning was a rush morning for me cause I woke up late. Shit man. My alarm clock didn't manage to wake me up but thankfully I managed to wake up 10 past six this morning. Meaning that, I managed to prepare myself properly. But sadly while I was on the road to school, there was an accident occurred , I was stuck there for about 20 minutes, which automatically making me late. Luckily, my friend - Kamarul was kind enough to make the bus driver wait for me. Huh. Thanks Marul. I owed you man. All and all, it was a fun trip and we all managed to come back home safely. Here are some of the pictures I managed to snap while on the trip.

Memories

Alright, it's been months since I started my clinical placement for this semester. I am so  overwhelmed with how many rotations I have to go through. I no longer feel like waking up in morning and having to do the same thing every day. I'm tired. (Not that I complaining tho' just an expression)

But despite of the tiredness, I must say I enjoyed working. It motivates me more everyday whenever I started thinking there will be something new to be learn and more new skills to be observed and practiced at the end of the day and this make it worth tiring for.

Right now I am doing my 4th clinical rotation in Sengkurong Jubli Perak MCH & OPD Clinic. The medical and surgical experienced I gained over there is way more than I had learned from the other previous clinics. It's NOT that I'm making a comparison between any health centers in Brunei but there is something with this clinic which really interest me. Is it because of my history? I, my self is also trying to figure that one out my self.

For those who didn't know, I grew up in Kg Mulaut and Sengkurong clinic is the place where I usually went to whenever I'm sick. So, it might be the memories. However, I don't want to come up with any conclusion just yet, because I am still in the middle of discovering process of WHY do I like this health center better than the other health centers I've been placed before.

Sadly tomorrow I can't go to work as the usual because I have a school visit to Mega Mass Company which is in K.B. But if it is up to me, I would definitely say NO because occupational health and safety is not the thing I want to do. However the attendance is a MUST, meaning that I don't have any other choices other than to obey the order. To make it worst, I don't even have a clue on what Mega Mass is all about but I guess I'm gonna have to just wait and see.

Mama I Love You

Dear Mom,

I cannot say it in words on how much you mean to me. But all I can say is that I love you. Truly love you. I can't imagine my life would be without you. Without you, my life would be nothing. Nothing!

Tho' I might be a pain in the ass sometime but that is just me, a youngster who's under going a transformation process or should I say entering the adulthood process and I'm sure you do understands that. Nevertheless, my love for you is still there: appreciating and acknowledging everything you did for me and I shall thank you for it.

Here I would like dedicate this for my mom and all mothers out there.
-=Happy Mother's Day=-

She used to be my only enemy and never let me free,
Catching me in places that I know I shouldn't be,
Every other day I crossed the line,
I didn't mean to be so bad,
I never thought you would
Become the friend I never had.

Back then I didn't know why,
Why you were misunderstood,
So now I see through your eyes,
All that you did was love,
Mama I love you, mama I care,
Mama I love you, mama my friend,
My friend.

I didn't want to hear it then but
I'm not ashamed to say it now,
Every little thing you said and did was right for me,
I had a lot of time to think about,
About the way I used to be,
Never had a sense of my responsibility.

Back then I didn't know why,
Why you were misunderstood,
So now I see through your eyes,
All that you did was love,
Mama I love you, mama I care,
Mama I love you, mama my friend, my friend.

But now I'm sure I know why,
Why you were misunderstood,
So now I see through your eyes,
All I can give you is love,
Mama I love you, mama I care,
Mama I love you, mama my friend,
My friend.

Mama I love you, mama I care,
Mama I love you, mama my friend,
You're my friend.

Last but not least, Happy Mother's Day To All Mothers out there!!!
