Many "American Idol" winners and finalists have gone on to successful careers. Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood remains the most popular artist -- her 2005 record "Some Hearts" has sold 6.7 million copies.
But there were some songs by other winners and runners-up that may have been overlooked, but have been deemed by the New York Post as the "best 'Idol' songs -- ever." Here is their Top 10 click here to hear clips of the songs):

2) Clay Aiken (Season 2 runner-up), " Invisible" from "Measure of a Man" (2003)

4) Blake Lewis (Season 6 runner-up), " Gots to Get Her" from "A.D.D. (Audio Day Dream)" (2007)
5) Bo Bice (Season 4 runner-up), " Witness" from "See the Light" (2007)
6) Jordin Sparks (Season 6 winner), " Tattoo" from her self-titled album (2007)
7) Jennifer Hudson (Season 3, 7th place), " Spotlight" from her self-titled album (2008)
8) Constantine Maroulis (Season 4, 6th place), " Everybody Loves" from "Constantine" (2007)
9) Kimberley Locke (Season 2, 3rd place), " Change" from "Based on a True Story" (2007)

Last season's winner David Cook didn't make the list, but is seeing some success of his own. His self-titled debut album was released last November and has since been certified platinum.
