LOS ANGELES

Many "American Idol" winners and finalists have gone on to successful careers. Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood remains the most popular artist -- her 2005 record "Some Hearts" has sold 6.7 million copies.

But there were some songs by other winners and runners-up that may have been overlooked, but have been deemed by the New York Post as the "best 'Idol' songs -- ever." Here is their Top 10  click here to hear clips of the songs):

1) Kelly Clarkson (Season 1 winner), " Since U Been Gone" from "Breakaway" (2004)
2)
Clay Aiken (Season 2 runner-up), " Invisible" from "Measure of a Man" (2003)
3)
Carrie Underwood (Season 4 winner), " All-American Girl" from "Carnival Ride" (2007)
4)

5)

Last season's winner David Cook didn't make the list, but is seeing some success of his own. His self-titled debut album was released last November and has since been certified platinum.
