This isn't how it's suppose to be

Shocking!!!!!

Astaghfirullahalzim, Is this how we Bruneian treat our holy Quran? How disrespectful and unfortunate this is. Yes people, believe it or not, it happened here in Brunei. Tho' I'm not sure where it is but I am pretty sure that it is in Brunei. And I hope, to whom may concern would take this issue seriously.

Latest issue 23rd April 2009 in Brunei? Yes, it is unfortunate. Hati cukup tersentuh melihat kitab suci Al-Quran di perlakukan begini. Walaupun ianya free, tapi hargailah. Jika di negeri lain amatlah susah untuk mendapatkan satu kitab Al-Quran kerana memerlukan duit  untuk membelinya. Brunei is quite lucky because we all are provided by His Royal Majesty Government but this is what happened. Who's fault is it? Who is going to be responsible? Wallahua'lam.

Let's us all ambil pelajaran dari peristiwa ani. Simpanlah di tempat yang sepatutnya dan sewajarnya. BACALAH DAN HAYATILAH ia (Al-Quran). If we all understand the content of each word in the Quran, I bet no body is going to act in such a horriable way. If there is, I don't know what kind of person who would do such a thing. Manusia yang tidak mempunyai akal fikiran may be?

Akan tetapi ku tetap medoakan semoga we all (termasuklah pihak-pihak yang betanggungjawap melakukan dosa sebesar begini) agar tergolong dalam golongan yang pekadengan ISLAM dan yang mempertahankannya sehingga bertemu dengan pencipta diri -Tuhan yg Maha Esa, Amin ya rabalamin.

Last but not least, I wanna ask you (Muslims) What is your role as true real Muslim? Let us all muhasabah diri.

Like what He (God) say's in the Quran: "Dan ingatlah akan hari (ketika) Kami bangkitkan pada tiap-tiap umat seorang saksi atas mereka dari mereka sendiri dan Kami datangkan kamu (Muhammad) menjadi saksi atas seluruh umat manusia. Dan Kami turunkan kepadamu Al Kitab (Al Qur`an) untuk menjelaskan segala sesuatu dan petunjuk serta rahmat dan kabar gembira bagi orang-orang yang berserah diri"

The big flu

Is swine flu the big one or a flu that fizzles?

ATLANTA – As reports of a unique form of swine flu erupt around the world, the inevitable question arises: Is this the big one? Is this the next big global flu epidemic that public health experts have long anticipated and worried about? Is this the novel virus that will kill millions around the world, as pandemics did in 1918, 1957 and 1968?

The short answer is it's too soon to tell. "What makes this so difficult is we may be somewhere between an important but yet still uneventful public health occurrence here — with something that could literally die out over the next couple of weeks and never show up again — or this could be the opening act of a full-fledged influenza pandemic," said Michael Osterholm, a prominent expert on global flu outbreaks with the University of Minnesota. "We have no clue right now where we are between those two extremes. That's the problem," he said. Health officials want to take every step to prevent an outbreak from spiraling into mass casualties. Predicting influenza is a dicey endeavor, with the U.S. government famously guessing wrong in 1976 about a swine flu pandemic that never materialized.

"The first lesson is anyone who tries to predict influenza often goes down in flames," said Dr. Richard Wenzel, the immediate past president of the International Society for Infectious Diseases. But health officials are being asked to make such predictions, as panic began to set in over the weekend. The epicenter was Mexico, where the virus is blamed for 86 deaths and an estimated 1,400 cases in the country since April 13. Schools were closed, church services canceled and Mexican President Felipe Calderon assumed new powers to isolate people infected with the swine flu virus. International concern magnified as health officials across the world on Sunday said they were investigating suspected cases in people who traveled to Mexico and come back with flu-like illnesses. Among the nations reporting confirmed cases or investigations were Canada, France, Israeland New Zealand.

Meanwhile, in the United States, there were no deaths and all patients had either recovered or were recovering. But the confirmed cases around the nation rose from eight on Saturday morning to 20 by Sunday afternoon, including eight high school kids in New York City — a national media center. The New York Post's front page headline on Sunday was "Pig Flu Panic." The concern level rose even more when federal officials on Sunday declared a public health emergency — a procedural step, they said, to mobilize antiviral medicine and other resources and be ready if the U.S. situation gets worse. U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials say that so far swine flu cases in this country have been mild. But they also say more cases are likely to be reported, at least partly because doctors and health officials across the country are looking intensively for suspicious cases.

And, troublingly, more severe cases are also likely, said Dr. Richard Besser, the CDC's acting director, in a Sunday news conference. "As we continue to look for cases, we are going to see a broader spectrum of disease," he predicted. "We're going to see more severe disease in this country." Besser also repeated what health officials have said since the beginning — they don't understand why the illnesses in Mexico have been more numerous and severe than in the United States. In fact, it's not even certain that new infections are occurring. The numbers could be rising simply because everyone's on the lookout.

He also said comparison to past pandemics are difficult. "Every outbreak is unique," Besser said.

The new virus is called a swine flu, though it contains genetic segments from humans and birds viruses as well as from pigs from North America, Europe and Asia. Health officials had seen combinations of bird, pig and human virus before — but never such an intercontinental mix, including more than one pig virus. More disturbing, this virus seems to spread among people more easily than past swine flus that have sometimes jumped from pigs to people. There's a historical cause for people to worry.

Flu pandemics have been occurring with some regularity since at least the 1500s, but the frame of reference for health officials is the catastrophe of 1918-19. That one killed an estimated 20 to 50 million people worldwide. Disease testing and tracking were far less sophisticated then, but the virus appeared in humans and pigs at about the same time and it was known as both Spanish flu and swine flu. Experts since then have said the deadly germ actually originated in birds.

But pigs may have made it worse. That pandemic began with a wave of mild illness that hit in the spring of 1918, followed by a far deadlier wave in the fall which was most lethal to young, healthy adults. Scientists have speculated that something happened to the virus after the first wave — one theory held that it infected pigs or other animals and mutated there — before revisiting humans in a deadlier form.Pigs are considered particularly susceptible to both bird and human viruses and a likely place where the kind of genetic reassortment can take place that might lead to a new form of deadly, easily spread flu, scientists believe.Such concern triggered public health alarm in 1976, when soldiers at Fort Dix, N.J., became sick with an unusual form of swine flu.

Federal officials vaccinated 40 million Americans. The pandemic never materialized, but thousands who got the shots filed injury claims, saying they suffered a paralyzing condition and other side effects from the vaccinations. To this day, health officials don't know why the 1976 virus petered out. Flu shots have been offered in the United States since the 1940s, but new types of flu viruses have remained a threat. Global outbreaks occurred again in 1957 and 1968, though the main victims were the elderly and chronically ill. In the last several years, experts have been focused on a form of bird flu that was first reported in Asia. It's a highly deadly strain that has killed more than 250 people worldwide since 2003. Health officials around the world have taken steps to prepare for the possibility of that becoming a global outbreak, but to date that virus has not gained the ability to spread easily from person to person.

Grey's Anatomy

Hye, today I wanna blog about my "CURRENT" medical TV drama called Grey's Anatomy. It is a story about four medical students, who's just graduated from medical school and were assign to be a surgical resident in Settle Grace Hospital. To tell you the truth, I am completely addicted to the series, I even bought all 4 DVDs of the seasons. Currently I am still waiting for the 5th Season DVD to be release. Can't wait for that. Anyway, let me give you a few information about how it all started and what was going on in each season.  You know, just to give you an idea about the show - to those who never watch the series. Here goes....

Grey's Anatomyis an American primetime medical drama. It debuted on ABC as a mid-season replacement for Boston Legal on March 27, 2005, immediately following Desperate Housewives.

The title of the show is inspired by the classic medical textbook Gray's Anatomy. The series revolves around Dr. Meredith Grey, played by Pompey, who began the show as a surgical intern at Seattle Grace Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

Season One:

Season one began airing Sunday, March 27, 2005 and ended on May 22, 2005. The first season was shortened by the network to nine episodes instead of 14. (The original season finale was "Bring the Pain.")

Meredith Grey, the daughter of the once-renowned surgeon Ellis Grey, becomes an intern at the Seattle Grace Hospital. She meets fellow interns Cristina Yang, Isobel "Izzie" Stevens, and George O'Malley, who become her closest friends during the intern program. Other characters include Dr. Miranda Bailey, Alex Karev, an intern who is not very popular with the others (especially Izzie), and renowned surgeons Dr. Derek Shepherd and Dr. Preston Burke. The chief of surgery is Richard Webber, who was once more than close friends with Meredith's mother.

The season chronicles the first few months of the internship program and the day-to-day life of a surgical intern. Recurring plots include Meredith's battle to keep her mother's Alzheimer's disease a secret and her relationship with Dr. Shepherd. Others include George's infatuation with Meredith, Izzie dealing with the criticism of being a former model, Cristina's relationship with Burke and her miscarriage, and a power struggle between Dr. Burke and Dr. Shepherd in the hospital. The season's end introduces Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, Derek's estranged wife, although for other areas where the season was aired, Meredith waiting (Season 2, Episode 5) was the season finale instead.

Season Two:

The second season aired Sunday, September 25, 2005, and ended on May 14 and May 15, 2006 with a three-hour finale spanning both nights. The first season had originally contained 14 episodes, representing ABC's original midseason order for the show. However, it was decided to end the season early because ABC executives wished for the show's first season to end with ABC's Desperate Housewives(which had the time slot before Grey’s Anatomy for the first two seasons). Rather than condensing or throwing out plot lines, Grey’s Anatomy producers chose to end the first season with the ninth episode and save the following episodes for the second season. Episodes 10-14 were then held and broadcast as the first five episodes of Season 2. ABC ordered 22 episodes in addition to the five being carried over, bringing the total number of episodes for the second season to 27. Bring the Pain, which aired as the series' 14th episode, has been cited in series creator Shonda Rhimes' blog as having been originally intended as the first season finale.

The second season focuses on Meredith and Derek's relationship, which comes to an abrupt halt when it is revealed that Derek is married to neo-natal surgeon Addison Montgomery. Izzie and Alex embark on a relationship of their own (although this is cut short when Izzie falls for heart patient Denny Duquette), as do Cristina Yang and Preston Burke. Doctor Bailey becomes pregnant, and more is revealed about her personal life. On some of the weeks airing after its highly-watched February 5, 2006 post-Super Bowl episode, the program attracted more viewers than its lead-in, Desperate Housewives. Once the second season ended on May 15, 2006, the show had two previously recurring actors, Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres) and Eric Dane (Mark Sloan), join the regular cast. The series' opening credit sequence was also dropped by the last half of the second season, replaced by a title card displayed at the end of the first act and credits displayed over the opening of the second act of each episode.

Season Three:

On May 16, 2006, the morning following the close of the second season, ABC announced plans for a third season of Grey’s Anatomy to anchor the network's Thursday evening programming, set to air at 9 p.m. ET. ABC first tested the series' potential for Thursday audiences on February 9, 2006, as it aired an encore of the Super Bowl XL-leadout episode titled "It's the End of the World." The following Thursday, February 16, 2006, the network repeated the second part of the story arc, "(As We Know It)." Both airings began at 9:30 p.m. ET, and thus positioned Grey’s Anatomy against CBS' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Without a Trace, Fox Network's The OC, and NBC's long-running medical drama ER. Solid performance on these nights, with the repeat airings maintaining a strong second-place finish, may have been influential in the fall scheduling decision.

The move to Thursdays was viewed as a vote of confidence in the series from ABC, as well as a bid to attract more advertising dollars, since movie studios heavily advertise movies on Thursday evenings for that weekend's box office. The move was cited as one factor for competing network NBC's decision to move its own Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, originally intended to air Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. ABC announced on July 18, 2006, that the third season would premiere on September 21, 2006.

The series assumed its new Thursday slot on July 6, 2006, as part of a two-hour event featuring a repeat of the pilot episode, "A Hard Day's Night." The season focused on Izzie's struggle to let go of Denny, Meredith's choice between Finn and Derek, the ramifications of Burke's injury and the decision between the four attending surgeons as to the new Chief of Surgery and between the residents for Chief Resident. Throughout July and August, the series aired twice weekly — once in the new Thursday time period, and once in its previous Sunday time period. Grey’s Anatomy performed strongly in the show's new timeslot in its season premiere. It was able to snatch away the No. 1 position from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation during the 9 p.m. hour, bringing in an impressive 25.14 million viewers throughout the hour and a strong 10.9 rating in the vital 18-49 demographic. In comparison, CSI's season premiere earned a competitive 22.04 million total viewership and a 7.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

The third season ended on May 17, 2007. As the season came to a close, Burke called off his wedding to Cristina at the church, Chief Webber stayed on as the Chief of Surgery, Callie was appointed Chief Resident, and George learned he failed the final intern exam. The character of Preston Burke was permanently written out of the show and Isaiah Washington made his final appearance in the season finale. The relationship between Derek and Meredith, as well as the triangle between Callie, George, and Izzie were left unresolved. Addison decides to start a new life in Los Angeles in the spin-off Private Practice, and her character has since returned twice to Grey's Anatomy, once in season four and in a multi-episode crossover arc between Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy during season five of Grey's Anatomy.

Season Four:

The show was renewed for a fourth season, with the first episode airing on September 27, 2007. In the official blog, creator Shonda Rhimes gave a few clues as to plot lines for season four, indicating that Mark Sloan will be given a bigger role and in the aftermath of the finale, events for Derek Shepherd and Cristina Yang will be "interesting to watch” Due to her producing responsibilities on both Grey’s and the spin-off, Rhimes assigned the day-to-day showrunning duties to writer and executive producer Krista Vernoff

For the first time in the show's history, two of the series regulars were not returning. Kate Walsh's character was transferred to the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, Private Practice. On June 7, 2007, it was announced that Isaiah Washington's contract had not been renewed. Former Reunion star, Chyler Leigh, guest starred in the final two episodes of season three as Lexie Grey, a new intern and Meredith Grey’s younger half-sister. On June 11, 2007, it was announced that Leigh would become a series regular, instead of a 13 episode story arc as previously planned. The character Dr. Erica Hahn (The Silence of the Lambs fame actress Brooke Smith) joined the main cast, reprising her antagonizing role in the season's fifth episode. She replaces Preston Burke as head of Cardiothoracics. Upon her return, she makes Sandra Oh's character, Cristina Yang work harder for her success in Cardiothoracics.

It was once reported that a new male character would be introduced in season four.  This character would somehow be in "competition" with Dr. Derek Shepherd. This idea was obviously not put into fruition until the next season, with the arrival of Dr. Owen Hunt. Fourth season guest stars included former Gilmore Girls actor Edward Herrmann who appeared in three episodes. Seth Green of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame guest starred in a two-part episode. Lauren Stamile plays a scrub nurse named Rose, who became a potential love interest for Derek. Dawson's Creek alumnus Joshua Jackson was scheduled to make his return to television in a multi-episode arc as a doctor with his first appearance in the season's eleventh episode. Jackson's appearance was cancelled due to the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike. Kate Walsh returned as Dr. Addison Montgomery for the May 1 episode, Piece of My Heart. Her appearance played a pivotal role in the burgeoning romance between Dr. Erica Hahn and Dr. Callie Torres, as she was the first one to suggest that perhaps they were an item.

On February 20, 2008, it was confirmed that Grey’s Anatomy would return on April 24, 2008 for five new episodes. Where the Wild Things Are was the first episode shown after the incubation resulted from WGA strike. The double episode finale (Freedom) aired May 22, 2008. It was centered around Meredith having a huge breakthrough with her personal life including Derek and her mother. Meredith and Derek performed clinical trials on patients with brain tumors. They lost all of their patients except for one whose boyfriend died just before her life saving surgery. After finally succeeding, Meredith took a risk and reunited with Derek. Almost all the cast had a kiss, including Meredith and Derek, George and Lexie, Richard and Adele, Alex and Izzie, and, Erica and Callie. To prepare for the lesbian story line, which continued momentarily in season five, Grey’s consulted with GLAAD. At the end, Derek goes to his camper in search of Meredith, only to find her waiting on his land with candles dividing each room of their could-be "home". They kiss, and Derek leaves her long enough to break up with Rose.

Season Five:

The fifth season premiered with a two-hour episode on September 25, 2008, directly after the third season premiere of Ugly Betty. Regular one-hour episodes of the series began airing in the U.S. on October 9, 2008, following the October 2 coverage of the 2008 Vice Presidential Debate. OK! magazine reported that Katherine Heigl was remaining with Grey's Anatomy, and that Kevin McKidd andMelissa George were being added to the cast. On November 3, 2008 it was announced that Brooke Smith (Erica Hahn) had been written out of the show. Before the announcement of Smith's departure, it was announced that Mary McDonnell would appear as Virginia Dixona cardiothoracic surgeon with Asperger's Syndrome. It has also been announced that Melissa George would not be remaining as a series regular, and her run on the show would end after her character, Sadie Harris, decides to leave the hospital.

On November 6, 2008, TV Guide reported that Grey’s Anatomy will feature a multi-episode crossover arc with spin-off Private Practice in time for February sweeps. Unlike previous seasons, this season has not prominently featured the romance of Meredith and Derek until later in the season. The season has focused on several different things--Derek's discovery of Meredith's mother's journals from when she was a resident; Meredith's reaction to the journals;Lexie and her fellow interns performing procedures on each other (from injections to surgeries) in an attempt to learn things they believe they are not learning from their residents; the appearance of Meredith's old friend, Sadie, back into Meredith's life and Christina's reaction to this; the reappearance of Denny Duquette, who is appearing to Izzie Stevens as a hallucination of some sort; the intensity rising between the residents as an opportunity for a solo surgery comes into play; the new-found romances in other characters' lives such as McSteamy and Lexie; and the increasing amount of involvement there is with the patients coming into Seattle Grace. Rhimes has announced that contrary to popular speculation,[the appearance of 'Dead Denny' is not due to a brain tumor. It was announced that Jessica Capshaw has made a deal with ABC, giving her the opportunity to be featured as Dr. Robbins on all Season 5 episodes to come.

Season Six (The Current Season)

Don't know cause I haven't been able to get a clue on what's coming but I bet it is going to be much more drama in it. Let's hope so.

Gas That Could Kill You Inside Your Car

Hye guys, today I wanna share an article with you all. An article I found about a gas inside our car. Which I think something that most of us don't know about. In fact, the gas have a high potential into bringing harm towards our health. Hence, it is quite an important for us - car users to know what it is all about. And also, please note that it is not my responsibility or liability as to its completeness or accuracy.

It is normal for most of us - car users to usually turned on the car air-condition immediately right after we started the car engine, especially when the weather is super damn hot BUT the truth is, it is definitely NOT a good idea. In fact, we should open all the car windows after we entered and started the car engine.

This is because, according to a research done by University of California, USA. They had found out that the car dashboard, sofa, air freshener will emit Benzene, a cancer causing
toxin (carcinogen- take note of the heated plastic smell in your car). In addition to causing cancer, it poisons the bones, causing Anemia, and reduces white blood cells. Prolonged exposure will also cause Leukaemia and increasing the risk of having a Cancer. Even worst, it may also cause miscarriage if a pregnant driver or passenger is inside the car.

An acceptable Benzene level for humans within indoors area is only 50 mg per/sqft. If a car is parked indoors with the windows closed will contain at least 400-800 mg of Benzene comparing with a car parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. The Benzene level goes up to 2000-4000 mg, 40 times the acceptable level. Therefore the people inside the car will inevitably inhale an excess amount of the toxin and at this rate, it can be fatal.

It is recommended that every car users open their car windows and doors to give time for the interior air to go out before entering the vehicle. For your information, Benzene is a toxin that affects your kidney and liver, and is very difficult for your body to expel this toxic stuff.

The Angel of Mekkah

Here is pic from Hajj that Doumuoa (Dom) took which is quite a miracle... whilst she was standing on the roof of the Masjidilharam Mosque during Fajar prayers she wanted to take a picture of the people doing Tawaf, but as she took the picture she saw a bright light- almost like thunder. Thinking that her camera had broke she turned to look at people sitting around her, but no one flinched. As she went to check her camera, she noticed that it captured an Angel... which a true blessing it is. No, it’s not fake. This is Real!!!

The angel in the picture is really clear!! Dom is truly blessed to have captured such a moment!!!

The above angel photograph was taken in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 2008. As Muslims gathered at the Kaaba, an angel is said to have appeared. Pass it to your near ones and dear ones so everyone can see this amazing picture.

Last but not least, Allahuakhbar!!!
